We’re Harford and Baltimore County residents astonished with the mud being allowed to flow into our rivers.

We are a dedicated group of volunteers from both shores of the Gunpowder River, united in our mission to address the environmental impact of excessive runoff from D.R. Horton’s construction site in Joppa, MD. Our diverse team includes engineers, parents, landowners, wildlife enthusiasts, boaters, fishermen, and concerned citizens.

We firmly believe that a clean river benefits everyone, and it's imperative to address this persistent issue for the sake of future generations. The drawing featured on this page, created by a neighbor’s grandchild, deeply moved us. It's poignant that even a child recognizes the degradation of our rivers.

The Bird and Gunpowder Rivers are facing a critical environmental crisis due to sediment runoff from Ridgely's Reserve, a sprawling 120-acre construction site in Harford County. Despite over 100 failed inspections conducted by the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE), there has been a disturbing lack of accountability from both MDE and Harford County officials regarding the developer, D.R. Horton.

We are thankful for your support.
